Santa Pat is delighted to bring you the best of the Santa Experience, which is unlike any other encounter that your family has had with Santa in the past. The Santa Experience is unique in many ways. It’s conveniently located in the Mall of America, so combining a day of shopping with a trip to see Santa is easy.
If your children are eager for a particular gift (or gifts) this year, now is your chance to let them share all their holiday wishes! Every visit to Santa Experience is uniquely tailored to your family to ensure every child’s wishes are heard. The Santa Experience is a fun-filled and festive environment that is sure to get everyone in the holiday spirit, children and parents alike! Every visit takes place in a safe and relaxing environment, and it can take as long as you want (up to five minutes per group) to let Santa know what you want this season.
Where to find The Santa Experience
The Santa Experience is located in two practical places! One is on the first floor of the Mall, and the other is on the third floor. The Santa Experience on the first floor is located at S105, and the second Santa Experience is located at E318 on the third floor.
No matter which Santa Experience you go to, be sure to check in at the entrance.
How to Visit with Santa Pat at Mall of America
This year, we are booking 25% fewer Santa appointments. That way we can reduce the number of crowds in the store to benefit everyone! When you meet with Santa, you’ll get to spend up to five minutes with Santa depending on factors such as age and the number of people in your group. Once you’ve told Santa everything you hope to get for the holidays this year, it’s time for a recap! Your visit will be recorded and photographed, so you can take a look at the photos and videos that were recorded during your visit.
If you’ve left anything off of your wish list for Santa, you’ll be happy to know that we have Christmas merchandise in stock! You can choose from an assortment of holiday-themed goodies, such as ornaments, keychains, snow globes, and frames for your new photos.

What is your favorite Christmas treat?
Santa Pat’s favorite dessert is a nice warm loaf of Christmas Cranberry bread. The smell of it in the oven brings in the holiday spirit. But his favorite treats are Chocolate Chip Cookies! It’s nothing like a good tasting chocolate chip cookie after delivering loads of toys each year to boys and girls.
What is your message to all?
Santa Pat’s message to all is to be of good cheer! Spread love, joy, and happiness all year long! And remember that “Christmas creates magic! It works if you believe!”
What do you enjoy most about your job?
What I enjoy most about my job are the smiles on faces young and old as they visit with me. It warms my heart to know that a short visit with Santa can brighten one’s spirit.
What makes a good Santa?
Being a good listener, making eye contact, and focusing on every guest that spends time with me makes a good Santa! It makes each visitor feel special to get the attention they deserve.
