If you haven’t been to The Santa Experience before, you might be wondering why you should clear time in your busy schedule to check it out. What can should we expect?
All children want to see their hopes and dreams come true during the holiday season. When you take them to The Santa Experience, they will have the chance to tell Santa what they want in person! The Santa Experience is a personalized experience that lets each child (and every family) decide what they want to come true in the upcoming holiday season.
How does the Santa Experience work?
Setting up a visit through The Santa Experience is easy! The first step is deciding what kind of visit you want and booking a time with Santa Herman or any other Santa. If you have questions along the way, we are here to help – which is in large part why we are called “helpers!”. Along with questions, we will gladly take personalized requests so that we can make your Santa Experience visit better, too. We’ll do our best to accommodate all of your needs!
Each Santa visit lasts approximately 3-5 minutes. The session length depends primarily on the group size, the visitor’s age, and how the visit is going. While your child is telling Santa what they want for Christmas this year, the event is recorded. You’ll be able to get photos and a video of the recorded event in person, while photos and videos will be available about 24 hours afterward for people who opt to visit with Santa virtually instead. Plenty of holiday-themed merchandise is available at our store, so you can shop ’til you drop before, during, or after the visit with Santa! With its strategic location in the Mall of America, it’s easy to combine holiday shopping with a Santa visit.

What is your favorite Christmas treat?
Well of course Santa loves his cookies, and not just any one type of cookie but all cookies of course. Fruits, vegetables and other healthy food is a treat to Santa too as it helps him stay strong so he can deliver all of those toys in one night.
What is your message to all?
Christmas spirit is more powerful than you could ever imagine, use this season to spread peace and joy. Take care of one another, and live every day like it’s Christmas.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
In my past 6 seasons of being Mistletoe the elf it has been such a joy to spread Christmas spirit and be a part of many different families Christmas traditions. Now as Santa Herman I am looking forward to creating new traditions with each and every family that comes to visit with Santa and hearing everyone’s Christmas wishes.

A good Santa is a Santa who spreads Christmas spirit every day of the year. Being a good Santa is about channeling your inner child, when the wonder and magic of the world was still fresh in your heart and sharing that with the families you visit with.
